It was built by the Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu Gyomyo Nakamura. It gives a panoramic view of the surrounding snowcapped mountains and valleys.  It promotes world peace and prosperity. The time of the Buddhist stupa is from 5 AM to 9 PM. The distance between Shanti Stupa from Leh is 5 km away.

2. Leh Palace

Leh Palace is also known as Lachen Palkar Palace. The palace was constructed during the 17th century. It is 9 storied building at the base of Tsemo Ridge. The structure of the Leh Palace is Tibetan style. It is located at Namgyal Hill in Leh. It is at an altitude of 17582 feet from sea level. Leh Palace was constructed by Sengge Namgyal. 3. Namgyal Tsemo Monastery

Namgyal Tsemo Monastery is also called Namgyal Tsemo Gompa. It is a Buddhist monastery in the Leh district of North India. The Gompa was built in 1430 by the King of that time Tashi Namgyal. The Namgyal Gompa is famous for the three-storied high solid gold idol of Maitreya Buddha.  Namgyal Gompa is located at a rocky crag behind the ancient Royal Palace. It is located near Leh Artfield.  Hall of Fame organizes a light show for the tourist. The time of the light show is from 9 AM to 1 PM and 2 PM to 7 PM. 5. Numbra Valley

Numbra Valley is also called the Dumbra Valley. The architecture of the Gompa is like that of the Potala Palace in Lhasa of Tibet in China. Sometimes it is also called “Mini Potala”. Thiksey Monastery is located on the top hill in Thiksey on Leh to Manali Road. Thiksey Monastery is affiliated with Tibetan Buddhism. Thiksey Monastery is a 15th-century structure. Magnetic Hill is also known as Gravity Hill. The fact is that the hill does not really have the magnetic force to move the object. The surrounding slopes of the area created an optical illusion of the hill.  Actually, the road becomes a downhill road. The vehicle or object on the road moves on the hillside due to gravity. 10. Chang La Pass

Chang La Pass is the highest mountain pass in Asia. It is considered the second-highest most memorable road in the world. It is located at an elevation of 17585 feet in the Ladhak range between Leh and Shyok Valley. It lies between the Leh and Pangong lakes. The temperature of the road from November to December ranges from – 15 to 24 Degrees Celsius. The temperature between  January and February is between -15 to -4 Degrees Celsius and from June to October is 5 to 40 Degrees Celsius.

11. Sarchu

Sarchu is an important stop between Manali and Leh. Sarchu is also known as Sir Bhum Chun. Sarchu has tented accommodation.  It is located on the border of Himachal Pradesh and Ladhak. The height of Sarchu is 4290 meters. The distance between Sarchu from Manali is 210 km and requires 5 hours and 30 minutes to reach. The length of the Tso Moriri Lake is 19 km, the width is 3 km, and the depth is 105 meters. The distance the Tso Moriri from Leh is 213 km. The distance of Tso Moriri from Pangong Tso is 365.8 km via Tska La road. Sangam Point is the confluence of the Two Rivers Indus and Zanskar. Zanskar River is the tributary of the Indus River. The Sangam Point is the top tourist attraction in Leh. Sangam point is located at Nimmu on Leh – Srinagar highway.  The distance between Sangam Point from Leh is 35 km away.

15. Khardung La Pass

Khardung La Pass is a mountain pass located in Ladhak Range, Ladhak of Himalaya. It is the third-highest pass in the world. The distance of the Khardungla pass is  40 km from Leh. It is located at an altitude of 17582 feet from sea level. The Khardungla pass connects Leh to Numbra Valley and Siachen base camp.
