Sardar Market is situated near the Ghantaghar Tower. It is also called Ghantaghar market as it is very near to Ghantaghar. The Sardar market is a vast and sprawling marketplace in Jodhpur. Mandore is a popular ancient town located in the north of Jodhpur. It is believed that the name Mandore comes after Ravan’s wife Mondadori and was the native place of Demong King. It was the capital of Jodhpur during the royal kings’ time before Meherangarh Fort was built. Now there are huge gardens and memorial places to visit. The beautiful temples and ruins are surrounded by gardens. It is one of the popular spots in Jodhpur. There are no entry fees for the garden. But for museums, entry fees are required.

Mandore Garden

Mandore Garden is a big garden with scenic landscaped grounds featuring tomb-like monuments, statues, ruins, historical museums, temples, fountains, and food courts. It has charming collections of temples and memorials. Its high rock terraces are another major attraction. The garden houses the Chhatris (Cenotaphs) of many past rulers of Jodhpur. Meharangarh Fort

Meharangarh Fort in Jodhpur is considered one of the most formidable and magnificent fort of Rajasthan. It was built by Rao Jodha in 1459.  It covers an area of 1200 acres in Jodhpur. The fort stands 100 feet splendor on a perpendicular cliff, four hundred feet above the skyline of Jodhpur. There are many fine-painted and decorated palaces inside the Meharangarh Fort. These are Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, and Sieh Khana. The fort has seven gates that lead to many courtyards and palaces within the fort premises. Meharangarh Fort entry timings are from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Jodhpur Step Wells is known as Turji Ka Jhalra. A step well square is a mini architectural tour with the Turji Ka Jhalra at the center. It is 250 years old building. It was built by Queen Maharaja Abhay Sings Consort continuing an age-old tradition that Royal women would build public water works.
