Day 1. Trivandrum
Trivandrum is famous for the Padmanabhaswamy temple, the Napier Museum, Velli Lake, and the Zoo. Keep the evening free for beaches and shopping.
Day 2. Trivandrum – Kovalam Beach – Trivandrum
Kovalam beach is one of the most beautiful and clean beaches in India. It is 16 km from Thiruvananthapuram and requires only 30 min to reach Trivandrum. After playing and swimming on the beach return to the hotel.
Day 3. Trivandrum – Kanyakumari
After reaching Kanyakumari, enjoy the ferry ride to Vivekananda Rock Memorial located off the coast. Visit the meditation hall and memorial. The watching of three different colors of the sea at the land’s end is the most enjoyable. On the right side of the memorial, you will see the statue of Thiruvalluvar, a Tamil poet, and philosopher. Visit Kanyakumari temple.
The distance between Trivandrum to Kanyakumari is 90 km. The time requires nearly 3 hours.
Day 4. Kanyakumari – Alappuzha
Enjoy the Kerala backwater boat ride and the beauty of coconut trees on both sides of the backwater. After reaching the destination, you can enjoy snacks, coconut water, or tea.
The distance between Kanyakumari to Alleppy is 237 km. Time requires nearly 6 hours 30 minutes.
Day 5. Alappuzha – Thekkady
Thekkady is famous for Periyar Lake. You can take a boat ride in the reservoir. If you are lucky, you will see deer, Guava, and different kinds of animals and birds. In the evening you can take an elephant ride on the spices farm.
The distance between Alleppy to Thekkady is 137 km. Time requires nearly 4 hr.
Day 6. Thekkady – Munnar
Munnar is a famous hill station in south India. The important places to visit are the green tea estate, coffee farm, Eravikulam National Park, Mattupetty Dam, waterfalls, and rose garden.
The distance between Thekkady to Munnar is 85 km. Time requires nearly 2 hours.
Day 7: Munnar
Day 8: Munnar – Cochi
Cochi is famous for Dutch Palace, Paradesi Synagogue, Churches, Willingdon Island, Chinese fishing net, boating, and Beaches.
The distance between Munnar to Cochi is 158 km. Time requires nearly 4 hours 30 min.
Day 9. Cochi – Guruvayur – Cochi
Visit the famous Guruvayur temple located at 93 km from Cochi.
Day 10. Cochi
Proceed to railway station or airport for return journey
- If you are opting train, then start journey from Kanyakumari. If you are opting for air, then start journey from Trivandrum
- You can stay at Trivandrum or at Kovalam. These places are very near to each other.
- If possible, spend more days at Munnar as it is very beautiful place.
